20 Oct A Gorgeous Late Summer Wedding at Middleton Lodge
A gorgeous late summer Wedding at the spectacular Middleton Lodge with dozens of Hydrangeas, Roses and a fabulous Flower Curtain.
It’s not very often that we have total responsibility for the complete styling of a whole Wedding, usually at least one other supplier will be involved even if it’s just with chair covers, but Simone chose us Wedding & Events Floral Design to provide not only her Bridal flowers but also dress the Marquee, Ceremony Pavilion and the stunning Middleton Lodge itself. We so enjoyed creating all the designs and working with Simone, and in all our years she is the first Bride that we had never met until the actual Wedding day! We still miss our regular phone consultations and all the giggles that we had planning her gorgeous Wedding and Sarah Jane at Sarah Jane Ethan Photography captured the day beautifully with her exquisite images.
Simone’s brief was simple, she adores Hydrangeas and wanted a beautiful pale pink, ivory & pale green theme to run throughout the whole day. We managed to include both her love of classic & modern flower designs as we dressed the already beautiful house with modern cylinder vases with Hydrangeas and tall spectacular cake table designs with white Gladioli & Mollucella and then had classic Hydrangea & Rose designs in the Marquee.
One detail that Simone was passionate about was that she wanted a flower curtain on the magnificent staircase at Middleton Lodge, so we kept the flowers & foliage simple and dressed the top of all the doors with Ivy & variegated foliage to compliment the flower curtain.
We also kept the styling of the outdoor ceremony pavilion simple and used Gypsophila as the main flower, creating ball shaped Pew ends, flower cutains, tie backs for the drapes and a small signing table design with a beautiful ribbon detail.
Simone’s love of classical themes dictated the style of her gorgeous Bouquet, and we created a timeless style in Ivory & Green using Roses, Dahlias, Freesias & Veronica to suit her stunning dress. Her sweet little flower girls had posies of Gypsophila and matching floral crowns while Tim & his groomsmen wore classic Ivory rose Buttonholes.
We hung magnificent oversized Pink & White Paper Lanterns from the ceiling in the fabulous Marquee and dressed the tables with tall & low Hydrangea, Rose & Lisianthus designs. Gold charger plates, sequin runners & sequin napkin wraps completed the luxurious look and added that extra sparkle.
